Kathryn Ballantine was raised in London, England. Surrounded by Britain’s rich history of theatre, pantomime and comedy, Kathryn’s self-identity as an artist was shaped early. She began music and ballet at the age of six, and continued studying voice, theatre and improv until eventually, back in Canada, she entered Music Theatre- Performance at Sheridan College. Her first solo recording, Songs My Father Taught Me was undertaken with composer Leonard Ballantine, and Juno Award-winning technician, Ed Marshall of Marshall Arts Productions. Three of Kathryn’s favourite credits include playing Dianna Barry in the 100th anniversary of Anne of Green Gables at The Charlottetown Festival, working with Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ben Elton on The Boys In The Photograph as well as working with the Jonas Brothers in their hit Disney movie, Camp Rock. In her spare time Kathryn teaches dance at Tandem Studios in midtown Toronto.
